Meet the LECIAD Library Staff

Emmanuel Quaye is a Librarian at the Legon Centre for International Affairs and Diplomacy (LECIAD).

He worked as a Library Assistant at the University of Ghana, Balme Library working in the Computer Laboratory and Africana Library sections.

His educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts (HONS) in Information Studies and Sociology in 2004 from university of Ghana, Legon and a Diploma in Librarianship in 1997 from University of Ghana, Legon.

He has partaken in workshops such as the Committee of University Librarians and their Deputies (CULD) seminar at University of Education, Winneba, on the theme “Access to information” and the EMARALD AUTHOR workshop, May 26&27,2008, at the Information and Communication Technology Directorate, University of Ghana, Legon.

His area of specialization include Online Classification of Books and Online research and documentation.

Alex Ofosu Amponsah is a Librarian/Information Assistant at the Legon Centre for International Affairs and Diplomacy (LECIAD). Formerly he worked as a Library Assistant at the Ghana Library Board and later joined the University of Ghana Balme Library as a Library Assistant in the cataloguing section.

Whiles at Balme, he updated his Information and communications technology (ICT) proficiency by taking ICT programmes offered at University of Ghana, Computer Science department.

His areas of specialization include Information Studies, Library Studies and Public Relations.

Mr. Alex Ofosu Amponsah obtained a Diploma in Librarianship with Distinction in 1997. He further obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Information Studies with Political Science. He graduated with Second Class Honours [Upper Division], University of Ghana in 2009.
